Bernie Sanders Visits Canada with Diabetes Patients (VIDEO)

Today, Vermont Senator and US Presidential Candidate Bernie Sanders led a caravan of American diabetics across the US/Canadian border. Insulin, the medicine used to treat Type 1 and 2 Diabetes, is less than 10% of the price in Canada as it is in the USA. 

Bernie Sanders (a Jewish former carpenter), like his Canadian counterpart, the late Tommy Clement Douglas (a Baptist minister), has fought for social democratic policies that Canada is known for for over half a century. 

He may have only come into public consciousness in the last 5 years, but he hasn’t changed a damn thing in terms of the policies he cares about for his entire life. 

Yesterday, Bernie held an impromptu town hall in the streets of his hometown of Burlington, Vermont, to talk about perhaps the number one issue in America – health care (video above). A Harvard Study exemplifies this, finding that 45,000 people per year in the USA DIE because they don’t have adequate health insurance.

If Muslim terrorists killed 45,000 people on US soil, you’d have a full-scale war, perhaps WWIII. But pharmaceutical and health care providers can do the same damn thing and all the politicians can scream is “socialism!”
