Journalism Under Attack: Real Journalist Fights For Assange, Press Freedom

The famous real journalist who helped release classified information obtained by renowned whistle-blower Edward Snowden, Glenn Greenwald, has been touring the networks, speaking out about the Constitution and Press Freedom in America.

The catalyst for this tour is the recent announcement from the US Government that the Department of Justice will be seeking to extradite WikiLeaks’ Founder Julian Assange to stand trial for, according to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, releasing classified government information that “risked/cost American lives.”

Translated from legal rhetoric to English, failing to stick to what George Orwell called “public relations” rather than hard-nosed investigative journalism. In other words, you are free – to do as we tell you.

Press freedom is under attack in America.
